The IX International Symposium and East-West School on Colloidal and Molecular Electrooptics Electroopto 2000 will be held in Bulgaria - Pamporovo, 7-12 October 2000. The meeting will be the next in an international series that was originally initiated twenty six years ago and has established as the leading international conference on electrooptic phenomena. The aim is to bring together scientists from a wide range of disciplines with a common interest in electrically induced phenomena in colloids and optical methods for their registration, hence in better understanding of the structure and the dynamics of colloidal dispersions. Review lectures are planned to introduce young scientists in the variety of fascinating phenomena and intriguing problems in this field. The meeting will be of interest to colloid scientists working in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, Pharmacy and Medicine. It will be equally relevant to industry and academia.
